PNW Helping Hands Inc. family is in need of a driven and motivated Temp-to-Hire Residential Treatment Coach.

We are a family and team-oriented organization with a sensational reputation and track record for success in graduating Behavioral Rehabilitation Services Clients!  Our Temp-to-Hire Residential Treatment Coach position is an hourly, non-exempt position, working no more than 30 hours per week. This is a temporary/on-call position to start and to be considered for a full-time position, with a more set schedule, you must meet the following requirements:

Must submit to and be able to fully pass FBI background check
Must fully turn in and/or complete file requirements (Both PNW Helping Hands and State WAC)

Nature Of Work : Direct service work dealing with at risk youth and foster care. Work involves responsibility for processing intakes and discharges; monitoring and documenting client behaviors and activities; participating and assisting with educational, social and recreational activities; providing a safe and therapeutic environment; interacting in a warm compassionate manner; de-escalating, and restraining clients when necessary; promoting client achievement of treatment plan goals and objectives. Work is performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Essential Functions of Work: Responsible for monitoring the behavior and activities of each client; reports any concerns regarding the health, safety, or well-being of a client to the appropriate authority. Serves as a positive role model; utilizes approved behavior modification techniques to help clients learn desirable behaviors; provides positive reinforcement and support to clients. Conducts and participates in basic life skills activities. Provides clients with training or assistance with basic daily living skills such as: bathing, shaving, grooming etc; uses token/point system to reward positive behavior.Assists in the planning and implementation of individual treatment plan; supports client goals; encourages and assists clients in achieving their goals. Processes admissions and discharges for voluntary and/or involuntary clients supplies. Performs general cleaning responsibilities such as laundry, mopping, garbage removal etc. Attends training /in-services as required. Controls verbally and/or aggressive clients and performs aggression control techniques; assists with restraints when necessary. Communicates effectively with suicidal, mentally, emotionally, and/or psychologically disturbed clients in person and over the telephone to diffuse potentially life-threatening situations. Transports clients to other agencies, hospitals, homes, community activities etc.

Minimum Requirements:

Successful experience in the BRS field or equivalent of 1 year minimum (or 1900 hours cumulative) working with at-risk youth.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must possess a current TB test or be able to obtain one prior to your start date.
Must submit to and be able to pass FBI background check
Reliable transportation with at least 4 working seat belts
Proof of vehicle insurance
Valid Drivers License
Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Card
Be able to follow a behavior management plan and treatment plan for youth.
